It was a Scottish Black Watch pattern. But it was enough to set my heart racing. Then I saw her, and my heart raced even more. Somewhere, somehow, I knew \u201cshe is the one.\u201d About two weeks before, my mother asked if I had ever thought I would get married. \u201cNo way,\u201d I said. But here I was set aflame as I\u2019d never experienced. I had to ask her for a date. We connected and chatted, and finally, I worked up the nerve to ask her. \u201cI\u2019m doing a hysterectomy on a rat tonight in the lab. Would you like to watch?\u201d As I reflect on that now, I think that may be the most original pickup line ever. She said, \u201cYes.\u201d The night of the operation, she appeared with her brother, whom she brought along to check me out. She dismissed him quickly, and I began the operation, and it all went well.
